Sitting in your car crying in the parking lot before heading into work? Desperately trying to get ahead at work yet somehow always seem to be running in place? Waking up every single Monday, dreading the work-week that has become just part of your “routine”? I mean, it’s called work for a reason, right?
Well, in my humble opinion. #realtalk
“What if you won the mega-lottery tomorrow- would you still go to work?”
If your answer is H*LL NO then I’ve got news for you…you are no longer passionate about what you do and it’s time to make a change!
The definition of work = activity involving mental or physical effort in order to achieve a purpose or result. Nothing in there says you need to be unfilled, miserable or unappreciated.
And, we spend a significant amount of our time at work; shouldn’t we like what we are doing during that time?
Think about what would be possible IF you were in a position where you inspired, fulfilled and appreciated.
I totally get what it feels like reading those statement above. You know you want it, but honestly, the thought of finding the time to fit another thing into your already busy schedule seems daunting. However, if you don’t take action you’ll find yourself stuck in the same dang rut again and again.
I recently asked one of my clients what the greatest advantage of working with a coach is and he answered: “it had been years since I had put together a resume and even thought about a job search. I had no idea even where to begin. You provided me with a roadmap and strategy to follow and have helped me every step of the way. I am more confident because I know you are there supporting me.” -- Brett R. Note: this client is looking for a position at the executive level, vice president of sales in fortune 300 companies.
This is why I love my job! I’ve been helping people find a career that inspires them for over 4 years. My goal is to support you in effectively and confidently communicating your professional story so you can have a comprehensive (tactical and strategic) job search that ultimately lands you your dream job.
And, I understand the process, intimately, because I was in those shoes, not so long ago. I made a career pivot in my 40’s. So I truly get it. I all started when I was asked that very question-- Would You Go To Work If You Won The Mega-Lottery? At one time the answer was no. And now, it is an emphatic YES!
And that’s why I created the NextStop: Land Your Dream Career! course.
“I was dreading going to work and easily losing my patience. I just felt like my life was spinning out of control. I wanted to make a change in my career but since I was in my 40s I truly didn’t think I had any options and just felt stuck. After meeting Romy I knew that I there was a light at the end of tunnel and I did have options. Knowing she made a career change successfully gave me the confidence to take the risk. By going through the Career Assessment and Career Exploration exercise with Romy and the all the steps she suggests for a comprehensive job search I was able to find a new career path that I love and now I have balance in my life and have landed my dream job!” -Beth W. Note: this client was mid-career and did a successful career pivot.

3-Part LinkedIn Makeover: What Happens if They Google You?

It’s no secret that employers are turning to social media to research their applicants. The first place they are looking is your LinkedIn profile. Your LinkedIn profile can either work for you or against you! Learn how to create a powerful social media presence, through LinkedIn, so you are not only visible to your ideal employer but also have an appropriate and professional online presence throughout the job search.
This bonus includes a 3-part series where you will learn:
Learn how to strategically plan your week ahead to reduce anxiety and the constant state of "where do I need to be and what's next on the list?" So metaphorically speaking, you will learn to juggle.
Gain more hours in the day (sorry, not really), but you will have a better understanding of where your time and energy is spent allowing you to make changes to free up more time to pursue the things you love.

I can honestly say that it would not have happened within a year of setting my intention without NextSteps Coaching.”

By working with Romy, I stayed focused and on track, she helped me keep myself accountable, she provided me the tools I needed for a comprehensive job search. And I landed my ideal job!”
-- Jeff Z. Note: was relocating and needed to find a job in a new city in a short period of time, after monthly of unsuccessfully doing it himself.
If you show up and do the work in this program you will be successful.
If you’ve made it this far, good for you! I wanted to take a second and introduce myself.
I’m Romy Weiss is a Career Transition & Certified Professional Coach and serve as the CEO of NextSteps Coaching & Consulting LLC. I’m also the mom of three teenagers and live in Maine with my family.
I built my career in the professional space, until the day I was asked the question that would change my life. “What would you do if you won the mega-million dollar lottery. Would you go to work on Monday?” When I answered with an enthusiastic “No!” It set me out on a path of self-exploration and discovery at the age of 43.
I began my deep dive into the possibility of finding true fulfillment at work and the balance I was striving for with my family. During my own career transitions journey, I found professional coaching. Having a love for professional development I participated in the IFC’s accredited Coaches Training Institute's professional training program and certification.
I have now gone on to support men and women on their career transitions journey. I will meet you where ever you are and navigate you to your desired career success. My specialty is enabling, guiding and empowering adults who are at a career crossroads hoping to advance, change, return to and reinvent their careers thereby finding work/life balance. This is something I consider myself an expert in as I runs my own business through NextSteps Coaching and Consulting, LLC, while also finding balance in running a busy household. I teach adults how to build confidence and effectively communicate your story while leaning into your value. I help you clarify your career goals, build your career confidence, advance your career (climb that corporate ladder, break glass ceilings and get promotions) and land dream jobs.
Through my own career transition, I truly found my calling. Today, if I was asked what would I do if I won the lottery, I would still continue to run NextSteps Coaching and Consulting and my mission is to help others answer that same question with a resounding YES!
This is what a client, who I was doing final edits with on her cover letter and resume, said to me. Developing your resume in the new format is truly a confidence booster. With the work we did, my client can now effectively and confidently communicate her professional story.
I help my clients develop and enhance their resumes and cover letters so that they get noticed among the applicant pool and effectively tell their professional story. They get invited to interviews and then offered dream positions.
Whether you are looking to change careers or advance your career this course will meet your needs!
